O’Connor Family Law has the goal of becoming the most prominent family law firm within the New England area, although the focus is currently within Massachusetts. In order to achieve this, our employees are the most important part of the firm because, without a strong team, we are nothing. Family law is not for everyone, and that’s okay. But we focus solely on family law at this time. Think Jerry Springer content mixed with the humor of Ellen, the philosophy of Dr. Phil, and the professionalism of Oprah. That pretty much sums up what we do and how we do it. If you focus on an area that we do not currently offer but you would like to discuss the possibility of the firm expanding to include the area that you are most knowledgeable about, reach out and let’s talk about the potential! We are one to look into every open door.
This is not a firm where you can just get by if you join the team though. Your best is expected 100% of the time as we truly focus on the client experience and helping those who hire us leave us with more than simply a legal outcome. We believe in investing in our team’s education and encourage constant learning and expanding. That being said, the support within the team and the structure of the firm helps each person achieve their best while being able to deal with personal bumps in life as they arise. We are not only a team, we are family.
To the “family” term, we not only look to hire people we believe will deliver the same level of service our owner would provide personally, but we also look to hire people whom we can see ourselves hanging out with outside of work because that’s what we do. Although much of our work is currently virtual, we have an annual appreciation event where we do get together, which has previously included events like chartering a 105 foot yacht and a weekend getaway in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The owner and CEO also has an “open door/phone” policy where she is always available to discuss strategy, ideas, or issues that arise.
We are not looking for the attorneys who will try out family law and then move on. We want people who have a passion for this area of law and will become an integral part of the firm’s growth plan and stay with us through retirement.
Our mission is to be the best and we will accomplish that by providing first-class legal services and a message of inspiration and hope to those we interact with. We need strong negotiators who are not afraid to take a case to trial when necessary and excel at both.

- Family Law Attorney – Must have at least 5 years of family law trial experience in Massachusetts
