When clients come to O’Connor Family Law, they are often facing one of the most difficult periods of their lives. Whether they are navigating divorce, child custody disputes, parenting plans, or other family law matters, they need an attorney who combines compassion with fierce advocacy.
Gabriela Campo Ayala brings exactly that balance.
As a Massachusetts family law attorney, Gabriela is passionate about helping individuals and families move forward with confidence during challenging transitions. Her approach is rooted in understanding that every family has its own story, values, and circumstances. She works closely with clients to develop practical legal strategies while ensuring they feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
Gabriela’s commitment to advocacy began long before she entered family law.
Born in Canada and proud of her Colombian heritage, Gabriela has built her career around helping people navigate complex legal systems. Before joining O’Connor Family Law, she represented clients in immigration matters involving asylum claims, family reunification, removal defense, and humanitarian relief. She appeared before Immigration Court and USCIS, advocated for vulnerable populations, and handled emotionally charged cases where families faced uncertain futures.
That experience taught her an important lesson: legal problems are never just legal problems.
They impact parents, children, relationships, mental health, financial stability, and the future people envision for themselves and their families. It is a lesson that now shapes her work as a family law attorney.
Gabriela’s academic accomplishments reflect the same dedication she brings to her clients. She earned a full-ride Major Entrance Centennial Scholarship to the University of British Columbia, where she studied History and developed a deep understanding of how culture, community, and personal experiences shape people’s lives. She later received the prestigious Sandra Day O’Connor Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship to New England Law | Boston, where she graduated while earning Dean’s List honors throughout law school.
In addition to her legal experience, Gabriela’s multicultural background allows her to connect with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has studied French, Italian, Latin, and Farsi. Her ability to communicate across cultures helps her build strong relationships and better understand the unique concerns of the families she serves.
Family law is also personal for Gabriela.
Having experienced family conflict firsthand, she understands the lasting impact legal disputes can have on parents and children. That perspective drives her commitment to finding solutions that protect what matters most while helping clients create a path forward.
Outside the office, Gabriela enjoys reading fantasy novels, learning new languages, traveling with her husband, discovering coastal towns throughout New England, and spending time with her Maine Coon cat, Persia. She is also an avid collector of postcards, travel pins, and patches from around the world.
At O’Connor Family Law, Gabriela combines intelligence, compassion, cultural awareness, and unwavering dedication to help clients navigate divorce, child custody disputes, parenting matters, and other family law challenges with confidence and clarity.
