A dynamic force on the OCFL team, Attorney Brescia brings a go-getter attitude and infectiously vibrant energy to every case. Lauren became an attorney to help those who need a guiding light in a system that is often difficult and scary to navigate. She is especially passionate about fighting for the people who feel like they don’t stand a chance against the system and has spent her life working to give them that chance. Attorney Brescia chose family law because, in her opinion, family is the most important thing in life. She is passionate about helping people move forward in the most positive way they can. No one is perfect, but Attorney Brescia believes we can all learn from prior choices and that everyone deserves a second chance. Her view on clients' futures can be summed up by her favorite quote from the late Maya Angelou, who said “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” No one is born with all the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the hardest parts of life; we learn as we go, and once we know better, we have a responsibility to make choices that reflect those lessons we’ve learned.
Before entering the legal world, Lauren dedicated herself to fighting for LGBTQ rights at a local community health center allowed her to hone her advocacy efforts. She continues her passionate work as an ally through legal advocacy protecting LGBTQ families in divorce and custody issues.
Beyond the courtroom, Lauren finds balance in her life through yoga, cooking, and cherished moments spent with her husband and family.
