Attorney Youjeen (Aeleen) Kang brings a rare balance of composure, skill, and empathy to every case she handles. Even in the most high-stakes or emotionally charged situations, she remains calm, clear-headed, and focused on protecting her clients’ best interests. Known for being an attentive listener, she makes her clients feel truly heard and validated, while guiding them with the confidence of someone who has stood in, and thrived under, high-pressure legal arenas.
Aeleen’s career spans work as a Trial Attorney for the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) in the Children and Families Division and as an Assistant District Attorney for the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office. This dual perspective of advocating both for the vulnerable and in the prosecution of cases has given her a deep understanding of how to navigate complex legal systems and anticipate challenges before they arise. She approaches each case with strategic precision, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcome.
A graduate of the University of British Columbia and the University of Massachusetts School of Law, Aeleen has always been motivated by a desire to help people. She thrives in situations that require quick thinking and creative problem-solving, holding to her personal philosophy: “If you can’t change your circumstances, change your attitude.” Outside of the courtroom, Aeleen enjoys exploring new restaurants, trying creative coffee drinks, and spending time outdoors in New England, especially in the fall when she can enjoy apple picking, baking pies, and the crisp seasonal air. At home, she shares life with her husband and two beloved dogs: Luffy, a Boston Terrier with a grumpy-cat personality, and Junho, a sweet, cloud-like Samoyed.
Clients who work with Aeleen quickly see that she’s not just their attorney—she’s their advocate, their strategist, and their steady guide through uncertainty. With her even temperament, sharp legal insight, and dedication to justice, she’s the ally you want when it matters most.
