Her Story
Her Story

Kathleen “Katie” McGlynn approaches her work by prioritizing honesty, ethics, and clarity. She is a paralegal who focuses on being detail-oriented, well-prepared, and reliable; however, she also aims to make clients feel comfortable and ensure they never feel more stress than they should. Katie is proficient at providing her clients the needed clarity in their cases and understanding what they need to achieve the best possible outcome for their situations.

Katie got her associate's degree in paralegal studies (with paralegal certificate) at Bay Path University with Maroon Key Honors Society and Lambda Epsilon Chi, as well as getting her BA in Justice Studies Public Safety & Justice, Magna Cum Laude at Bay Path University, again with Maroon Key Honors Society. She is currently attending law school at New England Law | Boston, entering her 2L year in the flexible JD program and volunteered with CORI Initiative 24-25 school year and is one of three co-managers for 2025-26. Additionally, Katie has explored various jobs as a paralegal and office manager, legal assistant, personal assistant, waitress/server for many years with some bartending, worked on fishing boats in the galley and as a deck hand, and used to work for a music festival production company. Katie has always known she has an interest in law, yet has a diverse range of experiences that support her multi-faceted and reliable skillset.

Katie has always been fascinated by legal frameworks and systems and has known she wanted to be a lawyer since she was 6 years old. Initially, her experience with her own parents’ complicated divorce and co-parenting relationship discouraged her from looking into Family Law; however, once she gained exposure to the practice, she “fell in love with the work” and knew she could help clients have a better experience than her parents did.

Katie believes it is never too late to follow your dreams and do something you were meant to do, even if you take several wrong turns before you get where you are going–and this sentiment is supported by her vast range of accomplishments that she has achieved in both her professional and personal life. Katie is proud of how she finished college, received a scholarship to law school, and was one of the student managers for the CORI Initiative at New England Law | Boston; however, she is also proud of how she used to be a competitive baton twirler and twirl fire batons at events, and taught herself how to crochet from YouTube videos. Katie is an paralegal who prioritizes organization and strives to make her clients’ cases go as smoothly as possible–and her abilities to balance many things at once as conveyed through her wide range of accomplishments and hobbies.
